July 27, 2015 Harold went home to be with the Lord after a weekend of camping and enjoying his family at their beloved Lake Brownwood. He spent many years of his youth and his honeymoon at Lake Brownwood and it held a special place in his heart.
He was born on February 1, 1936 to Leonard and Rose Anna Ingram of Cross Plains, TX. He grew up on a farm that taught him many things. He went into the United States Army in 1958 and served his country during the Korean Conflict. After his faithful service he came to Abilene and began working for the City of Abilene Water Department and remained for 38 years. He married Betty Lackey in 1964; they had 51 wonderful years together and three sons. He loved his sons and daughters-in-law and was greatly loved in return. He loved his kids and always looked out for them. He also had five wonderful grandkids, Tyler, Kaitlin, Emily, Kiersten and Nicholas. His grandkids were everything to him. He was a wonderful man, a loving father, and a devoted husband. Most of all he loved the Lord and depended on him for his life. There is no doubt he is home with the Lord.
Harold is survived by his wife, Betty; sons, Terry and his wife Lynn, Randy and his wife Merian, Tyray and his wife Amanda and their children; his sisters, Jeanette Cloud and Betty Brooker; brother, Paul Ingram; he is also survived by his brothers and sisters-in-law and numerous nieces and nephews.
Harold was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
To know him is to love him. Be happy with Jesus honey will see you soon.
