Hayden was born on March 11, 1998 in Abilene. He was an honor student at Wylie Junior High where he would have been an 8th grader in the fall. He was very active and involved in all sports including baseball, basketball, football, golf and track. He had a deep love for rodeo and was talented in team roping and calf roping. Hayden worked hard to be the best he could at everything he did. He was a member of the 4H Horse Club, West Texas Rodeo Association, Wrangler Junior High Rodeo Association, and the Original Team Roping Association. Hayden loved to hunt and fish and could catch a fish when no one else was even getting a bite and he loved to watch old Western movies.
Hayden was quick witted with a hilarious sense of humor and if you were feeling down, just a few minutes in Haydens company would have you smiling and laughing because he had a special way of cheering people up. He was a loving, good kid who genuinely cared about other people. He was always the one to stand up for the underprivileged, the kid being bullied, or to sit with new students in the lunch room so they wouldnt feel out of place. Even in death, Haydens legacy of kindness will continue through his gifts as an organ donor, a decision he himself would have made if he were able.
Survivors include his parents, Toni Harvey of Clyde and Gregg Harvey and Holly of Potosi his older brother and buddy, Andrew Young of Abilene, his protective big sister, Calli Harvey, his very best friend and twin sister, Hadleigh with whom he shared a bond so close that they could finish each others sentences his grandmothers, Elaine Vinson of Abilene and Martha Harvey of Sweetwater Great grandparents, Harold Snyder of Abilene and Leila Smalling of Crane and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends including special friends, Jace Allen, Chase Williams, Brittany Bishop and Jake Taylor.
