Helen Bosley

Helen Ruth Bosley, 81, died Saturday, May 1, 2010 in Abilene. Her funeral service with David Cason officiating will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday in the Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel, 5750 HWY 277 South with burial following in the Garden of Ten Commandments at Elmwood Memorial Park. Visitation is from 5:00 to7:00 PM on Tuesday at Elmwood Funeral Home.

Helen was born on June 8, 1928 in Wooster, Ohio to Oscar Mays and Effie Dora Combs Mays. She married Walter R. Lucky Bosley on August 20, 1955 and they lived in many places as Lucky made a career in the United States Air Force. She has been an Abilene resident since 1970 where she attended Broadview Baptist Church.
Helen was a loving wife and mother. She enjoyed reading, playing cards and bingo and she loved collecting stuffed animals that sang and danced.

Survivors include her sons, Tim and David Bosley of Abilene four grandchildren, Bonnie Barlow, Brandy Senior, Sonia Bosley and Nathan Bosley seven great grandchildren, Keira Rain Rhodes, Khali Anne Bosley, Chancie Nichole Barlow, Charytie Sue Barlow, Joel Austin Senior, Katelynn Hope Senior and Taylor Brianne Senior.

Her husband, parents, brothers, Donald, Raymond and Delbert Mays and a sister, Reva Mandelin preceded her in death.
