Henery "Hank" Leon White, 79, of Athens, Tx., passed away Sunday, April 12, 2020, in Athens, Tx.
A private graveside burial will be held on April 16, 2020, at 11:00 am at Elmwood Funeral Home & Memorial Park. Due to restrictions in place because of the COVID-19 virus, service attendance will be limited. If you would like to attend the graveside service, we ask that you remain inside your vehicle once in the cemetery and tune your radio to 105.7 FM for the funeral broadcast. The family appreciates your attendance but wants everyone to be safe during this time.
Hank was born on April 20, 1940, in Chalk, Tx., to the late Sylvester White and Katie Bell Ross White. He married Patsy Jean Ribble in 1960 and were blessed with 39 years together until her passing on July 25, 1999. He married Billye Ruth Bigbee whom he shared the last 20 years of life. Hank worked and retired from WTU as a supervisor in 1996. He served as Justice of the Peace for Cottle County for 11 years until he retired. Hank enjoyed life and loved to aggravate and laugh with his family and friends, he will be dearly missed.
Hank is survived by his wife, Billye Ruth Bigbee; daughter Cristi Davis of Athens; four grandchildren; five great grandchildren; sister, Katie Williams (Freddie); numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends
Hank was also preceded in death by a son, Jeffery White; daughter Pam Logan; sisters, Melba Jo White, Sylvia Jean Van der Beek; brothers, William Edward White and Jerry Douglas White.
