Henricetta Tamez

Our loving mother, Henricetta Tamez, 68, passed away on Tuesday, March 28, 2023, in Abilene, Texas. A visitation will be held from 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM on Saturday, April 1, 2023 at Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel, 5750 Hwy 277 South. Funeral Services will follow at 2:00 PM.
Henricetta was born on August 17, 1954, in Temple, Texas, to Pedro and Maria Lara. In 1972 she married, Richard Tamez, Sr. Together they created a loving family, teaching their children the values of a family.
Henricetta cared for her family, most of her life as a housewife. She enjoyed shopping, working puzzles and coloring. She leaves behind a legacy that will continue for generations to come.
Henricetta was preceded in death by her husband; her brothers, Joe Lara, Pete Lara, and, Andrew Lara; her sister, Margaret Mata; and her grandchildren, Richard Tamez III, and Lola Smith Tamez.
She is survived by her children, Rosa Anderson and husband Michael, Richard Tamez Jr. and wife Amber, Pete Joe Tamez, Enrique Tamez, Adam Tamez, and wife Tiffany; grandchildren; Betty Grace Ann Tamez, Elijah Eloy Tamez, Christopher Perez, Jr., Nicolas Aaron Perez and girlfriend Kendra Halfmann, Iesha Tamez, Ashley Ornalez, Dorian Tamez, Nevaeh Tamez and Shelby Fournier; great-grandchildren, Mason Perez, Izabella Santiago, and Ignacio Adam Tamez; siblings, Maggie Montez, Alfredo Lara Flores, Heracero Lara, Martimiano Lara, Elogadio Lara, Rebecca Ariguiano, and Rodrigo Lara.
