Hettie Davis

Hettie Lois Davis, 88, of Farmers Branch passed away Wednesday, May 25th, 2011 at Gracious Care Home in Dallas, Texas

Her funeral service with Reverend Dale Meinecke officiating will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, May 28th in the Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel, 5750 HWY 277 South in Abilene with burial following in Elmwood Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until service time on Saturday.

She was born on October 6, 1922 in Paint Creek the daughter of the late William Thane and Sophie Medford Thane. She married Alton Jay Davis on June 29, 1972 at the home of Stan and Candy Crawford in Arlington, Texas.

Survivors include her husband one stepson, Mark Davis of Farmers Branch a grandson, Jason Pyland of The Colony, a granddaughter, Renee Abbott of Albuquerque, New Mexico and nieces and nephews.

Her parents, a stepdaughter, one brother and one sister preceded her in death.

She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt who was dearly loved by her family. Auntie will be dearly missed by all who loved her.
