Inez Floeck

Inez Laird Floeck, 88, passed away Thursday April 17, 2014 in Abilene. Visitation for family and friends will be from 6:00 till 8:00 PM, Friday, April 25, 2014 at Elmwood Funeral Home, 5750 Hwy 277 South. Her funeral service will be 11:00 AM, Saturday, April 26, 2014 at First Baptist Church, 1333 N. 3rd Street in Abilene. Interment will follow the service in Elmwood Memorial Park.

Inez was born December 24, 1925 in Trickham, TX to J.T. and Lillie Laird. She graduated from Coleman High School in 1945. She met Clifford Floeck Jr. at Texas AM University and they were married in 1947. They moved to Amarillo before relocating to Abilene in 1962.

Inez volunteered for Hospice in Abilene for many years and also for the Grace Museum. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Abilene since 1962 and a member of the Abilene Womens Club. She owned and operated the Pappagallos Dress Shop. She loved her family and especially spending time with her grandkids.

She was preceded in death by husband, Clifford two sons, Richard Karl Floeck, Clifford Thomas Floeck III one brother, James Laird and her parents.

Inez is survived by her daughter, Kristy West four grandchildren, Joseph Wheeler and wife Nikki, Emma Stephens, Patrick Floeck, Elizabeth Menichini and husband Alex two great grandchildren, Madison Wheeler, Jackson Menichini brother, Henry Lynn Laird sister, Dale Laird Martin and husband Chuck daughterinlaw, Patty Floeck and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to an Alzheimers organization or to Gideons International.
