Isabel Tijerina

Isabel Calvillo Tijerina passed away Friday morning, November 16, 2018 in Abilene, Texas. A visitation will be 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM Monday, November 19, 2018 at Elmwood Funeral Home, 5750 Hwy 277 South. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, November 20, 2018 in the Elmwood Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow the service in Elmwood Memorial Park.

Isabel was born November 19, 1940 to Esmerejildo and Beranda Tijerina. He loved wrestling, rodeos, old western movies, cars, and trucks. He worked for Abilene Independent School District for many years. He was a loving father and grandfather. He will be dearly missed and in our hearts always.

He is survived by his children, Nina, Rudy, Robert, Alma, Randy, Julie, and Roland; 16 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; six siblings; a special caregiver, Mary Hernandez; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
