Ivery Colbert

Ivery Colbert, 76, of Abilene passed away Friday, August 21, 2015 in Abilene.

Funeral service will be held held Wednesday, August 26 at 10:00 AM at Faith Deliverance Church 5501 US-277, Abilene, TX 79606 . Visitation will be Tuesday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Elmwood Funeral Home.

Ivery was born on December 8, 1938 in Rosebud, TX to the late John L. Colbert and Rachel Milligan Colbert. He worked at Abilene Marble and held several other positions in Abilene. Ivery was a member of Galilee Baptist Church and will be dearly missed by his family.

Ivery is survived by his children, Larry Colbert of Abilene; Cynthia Colbert and husband Aaron Jordan of Abilene, Tony Colbert of Abilene, LaToya Colbert of Arlington, Ivery Colbert Jr. of Abilene; three stepsons, Greg Sanders and wife Debra of Longview, Darrell Sanders of Haskel, and Kenny Hunter of Abilene; siblings, Dock E. Colbert, Claudette G. Watkins, Mary K. Campbell, Willie Mae McGriff, Allean Marlory, Nelson Colbert, Mary A. James,
Phyllis Colbert.

Ivery was also preceded in death by 4 siblings, Johnny L. Colbert, Juanita Williams, Billie L. Colbert, Eddie Colbert.
