Jack Duncan has Gone West. He passed away Monday, March 20, 2023, in Abilene, Texas at 87 years old. Jack was born on April 24, 1935, in Glendale, California, to Paul and Josephine Duncan. He married Ramona Duncan on October 22, 1978, in Las Vegas, NV. They were blessed with an adventurous 44 years of marriage. Jack retired from the Air Force and the post office. He enjoyed flying, giving, and always provided a helpful hand to anyone in need. Jack was a craftsman and a man of many talents. He had an adventuresome soul being a part of the Callahan Formation Flyers Club. Jack loved aviation and working on airplanes; he flew weekly. He was often referred to as "Smiling Jack," which speaks to his personality. He strived to be the best and showed kindness to us all.
The "Last Flight of Winter" was his. Jack was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend, and he will be dearly missed.
Jack is survived by his children, Sonya Martinez and husband David, Chris Duncan, and wife Hope, Jacque Maddox and husband Rick; grandchildren, Chelsea, Meagan, Cody, Ethan, Dylan, Tyler, Wade and Shanelle; great grandchildren, Alexa Rhianna, Nathaniel, Josh, Mason, Carter, and Abby, sister, Jane Owen Martinez; extended family and dear friends.
Jack was also preceded in death by his wife, Ramona Duncan; and daughter, LaDonna Duncan.
