Jacob Cole Copeland-Polk, 21, passed away November 16, 2024 in Abilene, Texas. A visitation will be 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM on Monday, November 25, 2024 at Elmwood Funeral Home, 5750 Hwy 277 South. The funeral service will be 1:00 PM, Tuesday, November 26, 2024 in the Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel.
Born November 19, 2002, in San Antonio, Texas, Jacob was the cherished son of Roy and Jamie Polk. Jacob attended school in Merkel before transitioning to homeschooling, where he thrived. He graduated high school in 2019 and went on to earn his CDL from Texas State Technical College (TSTC). He worked tirelessly for Arrington Concrete, a testament to his unmatched work ethic.
Jacob came into this world a spirited, fearless, and unapologetically bold “momma’s boy.” With a personality that left no room for hesitation, Jacob lived life at full throttle. Whether it was his membership in the exclusive Rainbow Boyz—a group only the lucky few could truly understand—or his signature phrases, “Say When” and “Two Weeks,” Jacob had an irreplaceable way of leaving a mark.
A man of humor and wit, Jacob had a knack for making everyone laugh, often with his sharp, no-filter comebacks. His passions revolved around speed and adrenaline, and he loved anything with an engine—cars, trucks, motorcycles, and more.
Above all else, Jacob was a devoted family man and an adoring father to his son, Porter. He was the ultimate protector, a ride-or-die friend, and a man whose love and loyalty knew no bounds. To those closest to him, hearing “I love you, Bogga Butt” was the sweetest reminder of his big, tender heart.
Jacob leaves behind a legacy of laughter, love, and memories that will be treasured by all who knew him.
He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Robert Polk; and great grandparents, James and Shirley Johnson, and Virgil Jones Jr.
Jacob is survived by his wife, Addie Rodgers; his son, Porter Copeland-Polk; his parents, Roy and Jamie Polk; his biological father, Michael Copeland; his siblings, Shelby Polk, Dillion Polk and wife Elizabeth, Kaci Crouse and husband Caylub, Tyler Dukes, Taylor Goff and wife Tara, and Britton Thornhill; his side kick, Claudio Guardiola; his grandparents, Calvin and Denise Winn, Mike and Pam Copeland, and Geneva Polk; great grandmother, Joy Winn; nephews, Sawyer Copeland, Westynn Copeland, Tayden Goff, Asher Crouse, Luke Copeland, and Bronx Thornhill; aunts and uncles, Calvin Ross Winn and wife Meagan, Richard Harbert and wife Dawn, Cody Copeland, Telisha Rosene and husband Gordon, Joe Polk and wife April, and Robert Polk Jr.; and numerous loved cousins, and friends.
