James Bill C. Fangman, 78 of Clyde, TX, passed away on Friday, October 12, 2007 at a local hospital.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 15, 2007, Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Brian Hicks officiating; burial will follow in Elmwood Memorial Park with military honors. Visitation for family and friends is 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday October 14, 2007 at Elmwood Funeral Home, 5750 Hwy 277 South, Abilene, TX.
Bill was born in Pilot Point, TX on January 11, 1929 to Lawrence and Delores Parker Fangman. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War; he owned and ran the Fangman Shell Service Center for many years. Bill loved to garden and cook; he was known for his homemade bread, he worked hard, was a committed family man and great dad.
He is survived by three sons and daughters-in law, Jim and Connie Fangman, Jimmy Deon and Patti Fangman, and Bryan and Julie Fangman; two daughters, Shirley
Coleman and Edna Gay Outland; a brother, Bobby Fangman; three sisters, Betty Chelf, Polly Hessel, and Margie Harris; eleven grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and several siblings.
