James Keith

James Delbert Keith departed from this world and went home to be with Jesus on June 19th, 2009 after a lengthy illness. A private memorial service for the family will be held in Elmwood Memorial Park under the direction of Elmwood Funeral Home.

Mr. Keith was born on May 19, 1935 in Coleman the son of Ezra and Mattie Keith. He married his loving wife Gladys on January 14, 1956 and together they raised five children and one grandchild. He was loved by his family and friends and will be missed by us all.

Survivors include his wife Gladys Keith of Abilene; two sons, Donald Keith and wife Terry and Allen Keith all of Abilene; grandson, Joshua Keith of Abilene; three daughters, Kathy Morris and husband Ronney of Bradshaw, Twila Sharp and husband Deno of Abilene, Xandra Hanley and husband Adair of Abilene; 14 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren; two brothers, Bobby Keith of Oklahoma and Alvin Keith of Brownwood; one sister, Barbara Fenton of Brownwood and a step brother, Bill Day of Brownwood.

His parents, one brother, two sisters and one grandchild preceded him in death.
