James Large

James Martin Large, 89, passed away April 2, 2021 in Abilene. He was born on December 21, 1931 in Abilene to his parents, Webb and Mabel Large.
After graduation from Abilene High School, he joined and served in the United stated Army. He worked his entire career for Iron Works and after retirement he spent several years taking care of his mother prior to her death in 1994. He attended Fairmont United Methodist Church.
He spent the last twenty years as a resident of Wisteria Place where he enjoyed making flowers for everyone out of the paper pill cups. The thing he always enjoyed most was dressing up and playing Santa Claus for the staff and other residents.
He is survived by his close friend Sue Patterson and her husband Mike.
