James R. LeMay, 72, of Abilene, TX passed away peacefully with his family by his side on October 11, 2018 in Abilene, TX.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at 1 PM at the Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel, 5750 US HWY 277 S, Abilene, Tx. Burial will follow at Elmwood Memorial Park. Visitation with the family will be prior to the service from 11 to 12:30 in the chapel.
James was born on December 10, 1945 to Albert and Pearl LeMay in Abilene, TX. He married Linda Thacker on June 7, 1978. James never met a stranger, loved fishing and mowing his grass (believe that!). James worked his entire life in sales and was a remarkable salesman. He could sell you oceanfront property in Arizona. In his later years he enjoyed driving cars for Arrow Ford. We would love to believe James has driven off to heaven in his truck. The best image the family holds onto would be of James sitting in his boat fishing with Linda.
James is survived by his loving wife, Linda LeMay; mother, Pearl LeMay; 4 children, Linda Robinson of Weatherford, TX, Judy Cash of New Braunfels, TX, Scott LeMay and wife Tiffany of Garland, TX and Chris LeMay of Oklahoma and wife Regina; 10 grandchildren, Brittney Propst and husband Josh, Ashleigh Smith, Lauren Robinson, C.W. LeMay, Cody LeMay, Rylie LeMay, Macee LeMay, Caitlyn LeMay, Reagan LeMay and Morgan LeMay; 3 great grandchildren, Jaycee Propst, Jaxon Propst, Jazlynn Propst and one great grandbaby on the way, Libby Ranspot; Sister, Ronda Vanatta and husband Jerry; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
James was preceded in death by his father, Albert LeMay and a brother, Morris LeMay.
