Jean Fonteno

Jean Fonteno, 71, passed away November 18, 2014 in Abilene. Visitation will be 5:00 till 7:00 PM, Friday, November 21, 2014 at Elmwood Funeral Home, 5750 hwy 277 South. Graveside funeral service will be 10:00 AM, Saturday, November 22, 2014 at Elmwood Memorial Parks Garden of Ten Commandment.

Jean Fonteno mother of two arrived in Abilene, TX in the late 1960s. She worked several years at West TX Medical Center as a LVN in the emergency room. Eventually, she worked for the Community Action Program and finally completed her nursing career working for and retiring from the State of TX.

She is survived by a daughter and son, Carrie Foster and Henry McGill soninlaw, Milton Foster 4 granddaughters, Whitnie Foster, Jessica McGill, Alisha Foster and Henrietta McGill.

Jean will be going home to be with her mother father, Brian Fonteno and sister, Nelda Ruth Stevenson.
