Jeanette Campbell

Jeanette Campbell, 70, of Abilene passed away Tuesday October 14, 2014 in Abilene.

A funeral service will be held on Friday October 17 at 1:00 PM at Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Texas State Veterans Cemetery at Abilene. A visitation with the family will be held Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.

Jeanette was born on June 14, 1944 in Hamlin, TX to the late Chester Arthur Jenkins Sr. and Pauline Augusta Gabriel. She graduated from high school and was well known for her basketball skills. She married Gene Campbell on November 16, 1979 in Abilene. Jeanette worked as a bookkeeper for Gibsons and then onto Walmart as cash office clerk and retired after 23 years. She loved her family and enjoyed the outdoors. After retirement she and Gene traveled extensively and loved their adventures.

Jeanette is survived by her husband, Gene Campbell children, Karla and husband Randy Gomez, Rickey Williams grandchildren, Alexandra Ambrosio, Lindsey Darlene Moody, Kali Krystine Gomez, Lauren Marie Williams siblings, Charles Jenkins Sr., Patrick Jenkins, Chester Jenkins Jr., Mary Dell Jenkins.

Jeanette is also preceded in death by a sister Lynda Suzanne Jenkins Jackson.
