Jeffrey A. Cartwright, 48, passed away on Tuesday, July 28, 2020, in Clyde, Texas.
A memorial service will be held Friday, August 7, 2020, at 11 AM at the Texas State Veterans Cemetery.
Jeffrey was born February 3, 1972, in Columbus, Indiana to Douglas and Nancy Cartwright. Jeff graduated from Terre Haute South Vigo High School in 1990. He attended Indiana State University and was a member of the Theta Chi fraternity. He enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1993 and retired as a Senior Master Sargent in 2015. Jeff spent his military career stationed at Dyess Air Force Base in Abilene, Texas and MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa, Florida. He served time overseas in Qatar, Diego Garcia, South Korea, and Curacao. In his free time, Jeff loved to be surround by friends and family. He enjoyed being outdoors and often rode ATVs, went hunting, and enjoyed boating. Jeff always had a strong sense of adventure. He learned to scuba dive while serving in Curacao. Jeff also loved to barbecue and hosted many parties at “Casa Cartwright”.
Jeff is survived by his wife Teresa, his parents, Doug and Nancy Cartwright, his sister Jennifer Brown and her husband Chris, his daughter, Lauren Culpepper and her husband Ben, his son Drew Cartwright and his fiancée Katie, his step-son Taylor Carswell and his wife Kelsie, his step-daughter Gabrielle Culpepper and her husband Andrew, his three grandchildren, Clara, Hunter, and Averi, his nieces Abigail and Sophie Brown, and his nephew Haiden Brown. He was proceeded in death by his paternal grandparents, Arthur and Enola Cartwright and his maternal grandparents, James and Ruth Riddle.
