Jennie Ortiz

Jennie Jojola Ortiz, 80, passed away September 1, 2013 in Abilene. Visitation will be Wednesday, September 4, 2013 from 6 till 8 PM, at Elmwood Funeral Home, 5750 Hwy 277 South. Graveside Funeral will be 2 PM, Thursday, September 5, 2013 in Elmwood Memorial Park.
Jennie was born in Windsor, Colorado on February 19, 1933 to parents, Elias and Concha Marquez Jojola. She was a fullblooded Tiwa Indian. She married Louis Ortiz on November 8, 1948 in Abilene. She attended Primera Mexican Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday school class for girls, and was a Cub Scout Den Mother. She loved to sew and read.
Jennie is survived by her husband, Louis children, Sammy Ortiz and wife Adella, Susan Carrasco and husband Ricky, Ruben Ortiz, Jennie Louise Ortiz, Ronnie Ortiz and wife Sarah grandchildren, Elizabeth Butts and husband Jordon, Sammy Ortiz Jr., Quentin Contreras and wife Misti, Joanna Jones and husband Pete, Jamie Ortiz and wife Candice, Miranda Riddle and husband Aarron, Heather Ortiz, Nicole Wulfe and husband Nick, Joshau Ortiz and wife Megan, Amanda Ortiz, Noelle Ball and husband Cory great grandchildren, Christine, Kaden, Ashely, Megan, Katie, Jack, Joshau, Amberliegh, Rachel, Zackery, Dereck, Olivia, Carson one brother, Jessie Jojola and wife Cathy.
