Jerry Gregory

Jerry Carlton Gregory, 79, passed away Thursday, December 27, 2012 in Abilene. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, December 29th in the Garden of Faith at Elmwood Memorial Park. Arrangements are with Elmwood Funeral Home, 5750 HWY 277 South.

Jerry was born and raised in Tazewell, Virginia and was the son of Carl Gregory and Nellie Neel Gregory. He was a Vietnam Veteran and served a total of 20 years in the United States Air Force retiring as a Tech Sergeant in 1973. After retiring from the military, he worked 20 years with the City of Abilene Water Department.

Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Betty Gregory of Abilene two children, Ty Gregory and Tina Gregory Scalf and husband Randy all of Abilene three grandchildren, Cy Gregory of Austin, Sydne Gregory, and Madalyn Scalf both of Abilene and numerous nieces and nephews.

His parents, two sisters, Jean Leffel and Peggy Davis, and a brother, Edward Bane Gregory preceded him in death.

In lieu of flowers or plants, donations to the donors favorite charity are preferred.
