Jerry Reese

Jerry (Don) Reese passed away on Friday, November 22, 2024 at the age of 75, after a brief illness. He was the beloved son of Jesse Jerome Reese and Crystell Head Reese.

Funeral service will be Wednesday, November 27, 2024 at 10:00 am at Elmwood Funeral Home 5750 Hwy 277 south Abilene TX. 79606 and interment will follow at Elmwood Memorial Park

Don graduated from Abilene Christian University and Texas Tech School of Law, going on to practice law for 45 years. He began his career in Lubbock and later moved to Abilene, specializing in oil and gas as well as real estate title law. He concluded his professional journey with 17 years of dedicated service at Security Title of Abilene.

Don was a man of deep faith and unwavering devotion to his family. He served as an elder at Winters Church of Christ for 10 years before returning to Abilene.

He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Linda Reese; his children, Christopher Reese and wife, Jenifer, April Reese Crocker and husband, Tony, and Jeffrey Reese; five cherished grandchildren, Jacob Reese and wife, Michelle, Eli Reese, Jordon Johnson, Brooks Crocker, and Bryce Crocker; one great-grandchild, Callahan Crocker; and his sister, Karen Stout and husband, Larry.

The family kindly requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Meals on Wheels of Abilene or On the Way Home Ministries of Lawn.
