Jesse Valdez

Jesse Valdez, 83, was born on July 8 1932 in Benjamin TX. He departed to his heavenly home on Thursday February 13, 2014. Great times and seasons came to his life, a wonderful and beautiful wife, Petra Sosa Valdez and Five beautiful children, Lydia, Mary, Robert, Sylvia and David. He enjoyed sports, politics, carpentry and most of all he Loved being around his family. He would always strive to do whatever he could do to help others. The day he so anxiously awaited to see his loved ones that had gone before him has finally arrived.

He was a husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and a friend to many. He will be greatly missed.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Petra Valdez son, David Valdez daughter, Mary Flores father, Elias Valdez mother, Margaret Valdez sister, Petra Gonzalez sister, Pauline Silva.

Jesse is survived by his daughter, Lydia Garza of Fort Worth son, Robert Valdez of Abilene daughter, Sylvia Valdez of Abilene ten grandchildren and twentyfive greatgrand children brothers, Ignacio of Wichita Falls, TX, Pete of Albuquerque, NM, Miguel of Houston, TX, Louis of Madero, CA, and Daniel of Houston, TX sisters, Esther and Mary.
Visitation will be 6:00 till 7:00 PM, Monday, February 17, 2014 with a prayer service beginning at 7:00 PM, at Elmwood Funeral Home, 5750 Hwy 277 South. Funeral service will be 10:00 AM, Tuesday, February 18, 2014 in the Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow the service in Elmwood Memorial Park.
