Jessica Dixon

Jessica Marie Dixon, 22, peacefully passed away on Thursday, September 12, 2024, with her loving family by her side in Abilene, Texas. A celebration of Jessica’s life will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, October 1, 2024, at Elmwood Funeral Home’s Chapel, 5750 Hwy 277 South.

Born on July 2, 2002, in Ft. Worth, Texas, to L.C. Dixon and Amanda Smith, Jessica was a fighter from the day she was born. She endured a lifelong health journey with remarkable strength and grace. Jessica attended Copper High School in Abilene, Texas, where she formed deep connections with those around her.

Artistic at heart, Jessica loved crocheting and coloring, finding beauty and peace in her creative expression. She was also known for her love of telling jokes and cooking, always spreading joy and laughter wherever she went. Jessica was truly the life of the party, with a radiant smile that could light up any room.

During her frequent hospital stays, Jessica became a beloved figure, playfully harassing the nurses for food and becoming the highlight of their day. Her spirit and charm touched everyone she met, leaving an indelible mark on all those lucky enough to know her.

She is preceded death by her grandparents, Charlene Brandon, and Jesse and Mary Dixon; uncles, Larry Dixon, Danny Dixon, Don Dixon, Richard Dixon, and Gary Dixon. 

Jessica is survived by her mother, Amanda Smith; her father, L.C. Dixon; her siblings, Aryanna Brandon, Javin Dorsey, Alexia Brandon, and Lyric Smith; her nephew, Kai Dorsey; her aunts and uncles, April Wells, Tammy Sawyer, Scotty Brandon, Tony Brandon, Spencer Dixon, Otis Dixon, Chirley Dixon, Hellen Dixon, Linda Dixon, Leana Dixon, Killie Dixon, and Dorothy Dixon; and numerous cousins, and friends. 

Jessica will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who were blessed to have her in their lives. Her legacy of love, laughter, and resilience will forever be remembered.
