Jim Bramlet, 66, passed away Saturday, November 14, 2009 in Abilene. His funeral service with David Cason officiating will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, November 17th in the Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel, 5750 HWY 277 South with burial following in Elmwood Memorial Park.
Jim was born in Brownwood on June 18, 1943 the son of Truit Bramlet and Kathleen McCurdy Bramlet. He came to Abilene in the 5th grade and graduated from Abilene High School in 1961. He married Linda Fields on July 22, 1962, has owned and operated Bramlet Construction for the last 25 years and was a member of Broadview Baptist Church.
Jim lived life to the fullest. He was a great Dad and Papa and was always involved in whatever his boys and later his grandkids were doing. He enjoyed the outdoors, so good times with the family often included camping, boating and many fun times at the lake.
Survivors include his mother, Kathleen Bramlet of Abilene; his wife, Linda Bramlet of Abilene; two sons, Chad Bramlet and wife Stacy of Abilene and Shea Bramlet and wife Stefanie of Littlefield; five grandchildren, Chance, Cheyenne, Cole, Cade and Camryn; and two sisters, Sue Moore and husband Terry and Karen Lewis and husband David all of Abilene.
