Jimmy Swiney

Jimmy D. Swiney, passed away at home on Tuesday, January 10, 2023, in Merkel, Texas.
Visitation will be 10:00 AM, Monday, January 16, 2023, at Elmwood Funeral Home Family Center, 5750 Hwy 277 South, Abilene, Tx. Graveside services will follow at 12:00 PM in Elmwood Memorial Park.
Jimmy was born on February 18,1952 in Westbrook, Texas. He graduated from Permian High School, in Odessa, Tx. He married Vickie on June 29, 1973, and they were married 49 years. Jimmy worked as a self-employed painter. He was a long-time resident of Merkel, Tx. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and being outdoors. He will forever be loved and missed always.
Jimmy is preceded in death by numerous family members.
Jimmy is survived by his wife; daughter, Stefanie Swinney, and son James Swinney; granddaughters, Adelyn Harvey, Madison Swinney, and Emily Swinney; as well as numerous extended family and friends.
