Jo Nan Leonhart

Jo Nan "Honey" Leonhart, 89, passed away, 9 September 2023 in Brady, Texas.She was born 1934 in San Antonio, Texas, the daughter of Joseph Lothringer and Nana (Sims) Lothringer.

Jo Nan graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School, in 1951. After completing Draughon's Business College she began working for the U.S. Civil Service in San Antonio. There Jo Nan met the love of her life, Robert Leonhart. They had four children, Robert, William, Betty and Phillip. She continued to work for Civil Service in Japan, Kansas, Oklahoma, and finished her career in Abilene, Texas as a Civil Service Officer.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Robert, son, Phillip, and brothers, Charles, Don, Phillip, James and Joey; and a sister, Betty.

Surviving are her children, Robert, William and Betty; her sister, MaryAnn Winden and brother, Larry Lothringer; 14 grand children and 22 great grand children.

She was very proud of being a Fifty Year member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Clinton # 207, Clinton, Oklahoma. Loved her friends from bowling, where she participated in leagues, local, state, and national tournaments. Secretary for years of the Abilene Women's Bowling Association, and was inducted into the Abilene Bowling Hall of Fame.

Funeral Service will be at Elmwood Funeral Home on Thursday, 14 September 2023 at 1 pm. She will be buried next to her husband at Elmwood Funeral Park immediately after the service.
