Joan Parker

Joan Bryson Parker, 80, passed away Friday, May 11, 2012 in Abilene. Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, May 15th in the Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel, 5750 HWY 277 South with interment following in Elmwood Memorial Park. Visitation is from 5:00 to 7:00 PM on Monday at Elmwood Funeral Home.

Joan was born on April 27, 1932 the daughter of Joseph Daniel Bryson and Lorene Evelyn McKenzie Bryson and grew up in the Cross Plains area. She worked as an LVN for over 20 years. Joan was a loving and giving person who was always taking care of and looking out for others in both her professional and family life. She will be dearly missed.

Survivors include her husband, Gerald Parker of Abilene her children, Julie Goodman of Ruidoso, New Mexico, Ricky Westerman of Cross Plains, Jeff Parker and wife Donna of Austin and John Parker of Abilene her sister, Katie Williams of Ovalo 13 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 1 niece and 1 nephew.
