Joann Perry

Beloved Mother and Grandmother Phyllis "Joann" Perry, 71, passed away Tuesday, August 25, 2015 in Abilene. Graveside funeral service will be 10:00 AM, Monday, August 31, 2015 in Elmwood Memorial Park, 5750 Hwy 277 South.

Joann grew up in Appalachia, VA and moved to Abilene in 1973. She most frequently could be seen dining at Towne Crier and was lovingly called Nanny by her grandchildren and Granny Fro by their friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Perry; her mother, Buelah Christian; and her brother, Jerry Christian.
She is survived by her daughter, Tammy Dudley and husband Greg of Abilene,Tx; her granddaughter, Heather Khan and husband Farhan of Austin,Tx; her grandson, Justin Dudley of Garland, Tx; her sisters, Betty Clem of Abilene Tx, Debbie Lane of Dryden, Va, and Retha Denny of Thaxton,VA; her brothers, Hank Christian of Appalachia,VA, Junior Christian of Big Stone Gap, VA, and Larry Christian of Appalachia,VA; As well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
