Joe Wyatt, beloved Father and husband, passed away Friday, May 19, 2017 in Abilene, TX. Visitation for friends and family will be Sunday, May 21, 2017 located in the Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel from 3:00 to 5:00 PM. Funeral service will be Monday, May 22, 2017 at 10:00 AM also located at Elmwood Funeral Home, 5750 US HWY 277 South, Abilene. Interment will follow at Elmwood Memorial Park.

He entered this world on December 3, 1932 to Willie and Lena Wyatt in Nixon, TX. Joe served his country in the United States Air Force, traveling to Korea from 1950 to 1954. He married his sweetheart Mary Virginia Covington (Dede) on June 6, 1955.

Joe worked for Crum & Forster Insurance and lived in Tyler, San Angelo, Richardson and Abilene, TX. After retiring, he drove a bus for Rose Park Senior Citizens and worked for Avis-shuttling cars to Dallas Fort Worth and back.

Joe is survived by his wife, Dede Wyatt; daughters, Mary Jo (Randy) Dees of Dripping Springs, TX, Susan (John) Gore of Abilene, TX; son, Randy (Marcy) Wyatt of Corpus Christi, TX; grandsons, John Wylie(Paige) Gore, Morgan Wyatt Gore; granddaughter, Apryl Wyatt Petterson; great-grandsons, Tatum Wyatt Gore and Beau Billings Gore.

He is proceeded in death by his parents, Willie and Lena Wyatt.
