Joel Wiginton

Joel Wiginton, 59, passed away June 30, 2015 in Stephenville, TX. Visitation will be 6:00 till 7:30 PM, Monday, July 6, 2015 at Elmwood Funeral Home, 5750 Hwy 277 South. Funeral service will be 10:00 AM, Tuesday, July 7, 2015 in the Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow the service in Elmwood Memorial Park's Garden of Memories.
Joel was born November 26, 1955 in Coleman, TX to parents, Raymond and Elizabeth Wiginton where he grew up and graduated from Coleman High School. He married Cathey Cook in 1978 and moved to Abilene before finally settling in Clyde, TX where they raised their family. As a Master Electrician he worked for many years with Downing Electric and had spent the last fifteen years of his career with Schreiber Foods in Stephenville.
His favorite place to be was outdoors fishing, hunting, or camping. He loved spending time with his family at the lake throughout the years.
Survivors include his wife, Cathey Wiginton; his two sons, Jake Wiginton and wife Cherity of Mtn. View, WY, Josh Wiginton and wife Hannah of Abilene; four grandchildren, Bruce, Dylan, Abby, Blaze, and "one on the way"; one brother, Dan Wiginton and wife Diane of Cincinnati, OH; one sister-in-law, Becky Wiginton of Coleman; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, John Wiginton.
