John Bozeman Jr

John Bozeman Jr., LT Col USAF Ret, 92, passed away October 27, 2013 at his home in Abilene. Visitation for family and friends will be 6 till 8 PM, Thursday, October 31, 2013 at Elmwood Funeral Home, 5750 Hwy 277 South. A private family funeral service will be held at a later date.
John was born July 5, 1921 in Cadwell, GA to Parents, John Wesley Sr. and Nellie Mackey Bozeman. John moved to Abilene in 1963 when he transferred to Dyess Air Force Base. After 27 years of dedicated service to our Country he retired in 1971 as a Lieutenant Colonel. After retirement he attended McMurry University where he received his Bachelors degree in Mathematics. He taught math for several years at Madison Middle School. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Abilene.
John is survived by his son, John W. Bozeman III two grandchildren, Adrian Bozeman and wife Jaime, and James Ryan Bozeman one great grandson, Gabriel Robert Bozeman three sisters, Peggy, Nell, and Lucy two brothers, Jim, and Mike.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jean two sisters, Betty and Helen brother, Cecil and his parents.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations are suggested to American Cancer Society, 3402 N 1st St. Abilene, TX 79603.
