Johncie Seideman

Johncie Sue Seideman, 77, passed away Sunday, December 11, 2011 in Abilene. Her funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, December 15th in the Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel, 5750 HWY 277 South with interment following in the Hamlin Memorial Cemetery. Visitation is from 5:00 to 7:00 PM on Wednesday at the funeral home.

Johncie was born on November 28, 1934 in Stamford the daughter of Joseph William McCrary and Johncie Beason Keller. She grew up and attended school in Hamlin. She worked at American Trading Oil Co. for several years before beginning her 32 year career with the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department. Johncie was a Christian and attended several churches in Abilene. She never met a stranger and one of her favorite past times was talking with friends and family on the phone.

Survivors include her children, Dannisue Sims Pierce and husband Richard, Rhonda Kay Sims and Jay Hubert Drake all of Abilene two grandchildren, Victoria Pierce of Odessa and Brad Pierce of Abilene and one niece, Johncie Ann Harbert.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three husbands, Danny Pate Sims, H.M. Duck Drake and James H. Seideman, one son, Joseph McCrary Drake, and a sister, JoAnne McCrary Harbert.

Memorial donations are suggested to Hendrick Hospice Care, the Rose Park Senior Citizens Center or donors favorite charity.
