Josefina Villarreal

On June 19, 2014, the Heavens has gained another Angel as Ms. Josefina Villarreal has gone to be with the lord.

Visitation will be 6:00 til 8:00 PM on Monday, June 23, at Elmwood Funeral Home, 5750 US Hwy 277 South. Services will be 10:00 AM on Tuesday, June 24, in the Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow the service at Elmwood Memorial Park.

Josefina was born on May 9, 1945 in Mathis, Texas to Beatrice Courvier and Fransisco Villarreal. She attended school and graduated from Mathis High School in 1963. Soon after she began working as a Harvester and the received a degree as a CNA. She also worked as a chef on the Dyess Air Force Base and retired from Fehr Foods in 2003. Josefina had a hard but blessed life and was grateful for the family she had.

Josefina is survived by her children, Manuel Villareal from Canton, Texas, Armando Villareal from Mathis, Texas, Petra Ortiz, Annette Valerio, Bobby Luis Ortiz, Ann Michelle Villarreal, Anna Marie Espericueta, and Fransisco Villareal, all from Abilene 20 grandchildren 24 great grandchildren 2 sisters and 8 brothers several nieces and nephews.

Josefina was preceded in death by her parents son, Jessie Villarreal her sister Martha Courvier brother, Crispin Villarreal.

The family will be gathering for a visitation and welcome all those who knew and loved her to come and meet with the family.
