Joseph Rankin

Joseph Joe Robert Rankin Jr., passed away on June 19, 2011 in Abilene. His funeral service will be 2:00 PM on Friday, June 24, 2011 at Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be Thursday, June 23, 2011 from 6 till 8 PM at Elmwood Funeral Home, 5750 Hwy 277 South.
Joe was born on November 22, 1965 in Denver, CO, to Joseph Sr. and Jonnie Mae Rankin. Joe graduated from Cooper High School and has worked for Goodwill as a sorter for the last 8 years. He loved to read, watch TV, and go shopping. Joe was a really great and happy person who always had a big smile for everyone he met.
Joe is survived by his aunt mother, Beatrice Anderson aunt, Margaret Murry uncle, Isom Murry, two brothers, Johnny Thomas, Otha Thomas cousin sister, Regina Anderson, cousin brother, Reginald Anderson and many cousins and other family members.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Robert Sr. and Jonnie Mae Jeffrey Rankin.
