Joyce Bradley

Joyce Irene Thurman Bradley was called home on November 1, 2017 at Abilene Regional Hospital.

Ms. Bradley was born on April 25, 1934 in Rock Springs, TX to Walter and Flora Thurman. She wed CK Bradley on October 20, 1980, and had been a resident of Abilene, TX ever since. She enjoyed spending time with her family and participated in extensive volunteer work with groups such as the United Methodist Church Food Pantry, Habitat for Humanity, and Meals on Wheels. She will be remembered by her family and community for her devotion to helping those in need and her power to make a friend out of everyone she met.

Ms. Bradley is survived by her sister, Helen Fred of Kerrville, TX; her daughter, Cathy Fletcher of Hope, NM; her daughter-in-law, Deborah Nix of Marble Falls,TX; grandchildren, Eric Fletcher and Briana, David, and Daniel Nix; and three great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, CK, and her children Cecil E. Nix and Nancy K. Nix.

A memorial service will take place on November 11, 2017 at 2pm and Elmwood Funeral Home in Abilene. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Ms. Bradley's life.
