Joyce Cass

Joyce Mae Cass, 75, passed away Saturday, January 3, 2015. Visitation will be 5:00 till 7:00 PM, Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at Elmwood Funeral Home, 5750 hwy 277 South. Funeral service will be 2:00 PM, Wednesday, January 7, 2015 in the Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow the service in Elmwood Memorial Park.
Joyce was born February 2, 1939 in Howard Kansas. She married Maurice Ray Cass March 31, 1957. She was employed by AISD until her retirement in 2004.
Survivors include her children, Mike Cass and Cindy, Troy Cass and Terry, Scott Cass and Kathy, all of Abilene; two sisters, Betty Lloyd of Kansas and Sandy Swingle of Florida; one brother, Terry Boone of Kansas; 7 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Maurice Cass; her parents, Dreva and Walter Boone; her brother, Donnie Boone; Leanne Taylor; and her granddaughter, Chelsea Cass.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society or Hendrick Hospice Care.
