Juanita Deleon

Juanita Villarreal DeLeon, 71, of Abilene, TX passed away at home surrounded by her family on Sunday December 12, 2021.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday, December 22, 2021, at 10:00 AM at Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel, 5750 US HWY 277 S., Abilene, TX 79606. Interment will follow at Abilene City Cemetery. A visitation will be held Tuesday, December 21, 2021, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM with a rosary beginning at 7:00 PM in the Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel.

Juanita was born on April 25, 1950, in Abilene, Texas to the late Gilbert Villarreal and Inez Martinez. She worked at Coronado Nursing Center, Abilene State Supported Living Center and Co-Owner of ADL Masonry before becoming a homemaker. Juanita was a true Dallas Cowboys fan, she loved playing cards and going to Bingo in her spare time. Juanita loved shooting dice and you could always find a pair in her pocket. She had a wonderful sense of humor and was always making someone laugh. Juanita loved her grandkids, especially her great grandkids.

Juanita is survived by her husband of 56 years, Angel DeLeon; son Tomas (Kristi) DeLeon; daughters Merlinda DeLeon and Danyela DeLeon; 14 grandkids and 19 great-grandchildren. Siblings; Pete Villarreal, Ramon Villarreal, and Lupe Chacon.
