Juanita Garza

Juanita Ramirez Garza, 75, of Abilene passed away Tuesday, October 5, 2021.

A funeral service will be held Monday, October 11, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Elmwood Memorial Park. A visitation and prayer service will be held Sunday, October 10, 2021 At Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel from 5:00 to 7:00 PM.

Juanita was born August 31, 1946 in Abilene, Texas to the late Valente Ramirez and Josie Holguin Ramirez. She married Thomas Garza on September 8, 1964 in Abilene, Texas. Juanita loved spending time with her family. She enjoyed cooking big meals for them, playing bingo and shopping. Most importantly she had strong faith in the Lord. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Juanita is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Thomas Garza; children Kay Garza, Brenda Garza, Tommy Garza Jr., Josie Garza, Renee Iturbe and husband Gabriel Iturbe, Diana Pimpton and husband Donovan Pimpton, Jennifer Lopez and husband Adrian Lopez; 42 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild. And her brother Crispin Ramirez. As well as several extended family members.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Valente Ramirez Sr. and Josie Ramirez; brothers, Valente Ramirez Jr., Manuel Ramirez and Phillip Ramirez; and sister Natalie Portillo.
