Juanita B. "Janie" Woods, 67, of Abilene passed away Thursday, February 21, 2019 in Abilene.

A funeral service will be held Monday, February 25, 2019 at 10 AM at St. Vincent Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Elmwood Memorial Park. A visitation/Rosary will be held Sunday, February 24, 2019 from 5 to 7 PM at Elmwood Funeral Home.

Janie was born on May 27, 1951 in Stamford, Texas to the late Jose Baez and Simona Pesina. She married Daniel Woods on September 2, 1995 in Abilene. She loved to cook and was known for her famous tortillas. She enjoyed sewing, shopping at Target, finding great deals at garage sales, making her garden every year, and fishing. She had a wonderful sense of humor and you never had to ask what she was thinking - because she would tell you. She was dedicated to her family and loved spending time with them. Janie was a member of St. Vincent Catholic Church.

Janie is survived by her loving husband of 23 years, Daniel Woods; Children, Sie Jr Camacho and his wife Geneva, Chris Camacho and his wife Lorena, Amanda Camacho and her significant other Freddy, Frank Miguel Gutierrez, Nicholas Woods and his significant other Jocelyn and Melinda Massey and her husband Jacob ; Grandchildren, Cory, Joshua, C.J., Mariah, Angel, Jesse, Victoria, Gena, Evyn, Eden, Luc, Maritza and Fabian; Great Aunt Daria Pesina Porras, Siblings, Emily Moreno, Sally Fernandez, Guillermo Baez, Albaro Baez, Jose Baez, Margie Fernandez, Flora Baez and Blas Baez.; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
