Judy was born September 23, 1940 to L.D. and Gwendolyn Johnson in Cheyenne Wyoming. She met the love of her life Joseph Wolpe and they were married on April 7, 1962 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Joseph was in the Air Force and was stationed in Abilene where the couple made their home and was a part of the community for many years. Judy devoted her time and was a member of the woman's Auxiliary for the VFW and American Legion. She also volunteered for the Library at Johnston Elementary. She had a beautiful heart and never met a stranger. Some of her hobbies included crocheting, crossword puzzles, dancing, mystery books, entertaining, telling jokes, and playing games. She loved dancing to the oldies and we now find comfort knowing that she is dancing with Jesus.
She is preceded in death by her parents, L.D Johnson and Gwendolyn Wallack; and her stepmother, Nina Johnson.
Judy is survived by her husband, Joseph Wolpe; four children, Susan Kent, Sharal Bryant ( Ron Bryant), Lisa Miller ( Jennifer Moroles), and Paul Wolpe ( Michelle Wolpe ) ( Kimberly Wallace ); 13 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; one sister, Sandra Walker (John Walker); two nephews, Michael and Bryan; and many friends.
