Keaton Wendell Rome, 24, passed away Saturday, October 31, 2015 in Abilene.
Visitation will be held 5:00 till 7:00 PM, Friday, November 6, 2015 at Elmwood Funeral Home, 5750 Hwy 277 South. Funeral service will held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, November 7, 2015 at the Minda Street Church of Christ, 701 Minda Street.
Keaton was born in Fort Worth, TX on February 27, 1991 to parents, Wendell Rome and Darla Moore. He was a Desert Storm Military Baby and lived in Turkey and Germany before coming back to Texas. He graduated from Abilene High School in 2010 where he was a very talented member of the band. He played the trombone, saxophone, and cello throughout high school. He attended TSTC and was currently enrolled with DeVry University where he had made the Dean's list twice. He worked at Golden Corral, was an avid sports fan, and enjoyed life to the fullest. Keaton loved God and his family, who he always enjoyed spending time with.
He is survived by his fiancé, Angelica Gonzales; mother, Darla Moore; father, Wendell Rome; step-father, Michael Lenord; grandmother, Dorothy Moore of Clyde; Grandmother, Pearlie Bender of Ohio; brother, Wendell Quinn Rome (Chaz Humphrie) of Fort Worth; sister, Destiny Rome of Ohio; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and other family members.
