Kenneth Lambert

Kenneth F. Lambert, 76, passed away Saturday, January 23, 2010 in Abilene. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 PM on Tuesday, January 26 at Elmwood Funeral Home, 5750 HWY 277 South. His funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, January 27th at Caps Baptist Church, 6610 HWY 277 South with burial following in Elmwood Memorial Park.

Kenneth was born and raised in Durant, Oklahoma the son of Jessie Lambert and Evelyn Allen Lambert. After graduating High School, he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and served 20 years as an aircraft electrician. He worked in several fields after his retirement from the military, including continuing 19 more years as an aircraft electrician in Civil Service, and both selling and teaching Real Estate.

Kenneth was a proud supportive husband and father. He enjoyed camping and fishing and in his lifetime had seen all 50 states and made several trips overseas. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan.

Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Marguerite Lambert his children, Kathy Stewart and husband Richard of Dickson, Tennessee, Vicky Bazzel of San Antonio, Carol Kramer and husband Barry of Abilene, Barbara Gaskin and husband Jerry of Lorena, and Floyd Lambert and wife Julie of Seattle, Washington 12 grandchildren, Jason, Michael and Stanley Stewart, Vanessa and William Bazzel, Amy Kramer Echols, Bryan Kramer, Jermey, Jennifer, Justin and Jamie Wilkerson and Olivia Lambert and 17 Great Grandchildren.

His brothers, Billy Wayne and Jimmy Lambert and his grandson, Kenneth Stewart preceded him in death.
