Kenneth Musgrave

Kenneth L. Musgrave passed away peacefully on November 11, 2013. Kenneth was born on November 26, 1930 in Wichita Falls, Texas. He was the son of a devout Church of Christ preacher, J.L. Musgrave, and mother, Edna Musgrave, equally strong in her religious beliefs.
Kenneth and his wife, Rusty, of fiftytwo years are members of the Oldham Lane Church of Christ.
He graduated from Abilene High School in 1949. His outdoor hobby was fishing his indoor hobby was swimming daily at the YMCA.
Since 1950, building, developing and real estate investing have been his most noted successes. Through his entrepreneurial spirit, numerous businesses have been created. He was keen in formulating a business deal when others would say it was impossible and was in his element while sitting at his desk working on the deal. More importantly, Kenneth L. Musgrave is known for his generosity and willingness to assist others in various capacities.
He was preceded in death by his father, mother and sister.

Kenneth is survived by his wife, Rusty five children: son, Bruce Musgrave and wife Teresa of Stephenville, Texas, son, Ken P. Musgrave and wife Patti of Abilene, Texas, daughter, Debbie Bixby of Abilene, Texas, daughter, Debi Labay and husband Chris of Goldthwaite, Texas, son, Gary Musgrave and wife Becky of Abilene ten grandchildren eleven great grandchildren and brother, Bill Musgrave and wife Annette of Victoria, Texas.

Pallbearers for the service are Hunter Musgrave, Chris Labay, Salem Joseph, Eddie Joseph,
Chois Woodman, and Colton Boyd.

Visitation for family and friends will be at Elmwood Funeral Home, 5750 Hwy 277 South, Thursday, November14, from 6:00 8:00 PM. Funeral service will be at Oldham Lane Church of Christ, 5049 Oldham Lane, Friday, November 15, 2013 at 11:00 AM.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Hendrick Home for Children, P.O. Box 5195, Abilene, TX 796085195.

The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff of Hendrick Medical Center for his care.
