Kristen "Lulu" Nichole Lopez

Kristen "Lulu" Nichole Lopez, 33, of Abilene, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, October 22, 2024 and is now resting peacefully with the Lord. Her family invites friends and loved ones to attend a visitation on Sunday, October 27, 2024, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM with a rosary beginning at 7:00 PM at the Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel, 5750 Hwy 277 South, Abilene, Texas. A funeral service will be held 10:30 AM on Monday, October 28, 2024, at St. Francis Catholic Church, 826 Cottonwood Street, Abilene, with interment to follow at Elmwood Memorial Park.

Lulu was born on March 17, 1991, in Abilene to Armando Mendoza and Ella Yvette Lopez. She was lovingly raised by her maternal grandparents, who nurtured her compassionate spirit. During her childhood and throughout her high school years, Lulu developed a love for softball. She was a proud graduate of Cooper High School, where she made many lifelong friends.

Known for her radiant smile and kind heart, Lulu touched the lives of everyone who knew her. She was deeply loved by her family and friends and will be remembered for the joy and warmth she brought to those around her.

Lulu's presence will be greatly missed, but her memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved her.

She is preceded in death by her father, Armando Mendoza; her uncle, Santos Lopez; great grandparents, Ella and Morris Hernandez; her paternal grandparents; great grandparents, Santos and Sista Lopez.

Lulu is survived by her mother, Ella Yvette Lopez; her grandparents, Roel and Cecila Lopez; her siblings, Nicholas Lopez, Lindsey Lopez, Chelsea Hughes, and Candace Ashburn; her nieces and nephews, Laylah Jasso, Zavior Foreman, Zaila Foreman, Marcus Sifuentes, and Kayley Lopez; her uncles, Roy Lopez Jr., Chris Lopez, and Morris Lopez; and numerous other aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
