Lanado Maldonado

Lanado "Lee" Maldonado age 58 of Abilene, Texas passed away Monday, June 12, 2023 at home in Abilene, Texas.

Lanado "Lee" Maldonado was born on July 10, 1964 in Altus, Oklahoma to his parents, Cruz and Mary Maldonado. Lee married his love, Annabelle on February 16, 2002 and enjoyed over 21 years of marriage. Lee grew up learning and working in the concrete industry with his father Cruz, Sr. He continued working with his father until he started his own general construction business in Altus, Oklahoma. In 2002, 9/11 drastically reduce business in the military town and later that year he chose to relocate to Abilene and begin specializing once again in concrete. Lee enjoyed every aspect of the concrete industry and especially enjoyed making customers' dreams come true. When he wasn't working, he enjoyed spending time with all his family. He especially enjoyed taking trips to the lake and fishing in his pond at his ranch with his family. His most treasured title was being promoted to "Grampa", he loved on all four grandchildren, every chance he could. He would proudly talk to his customers and his nurses, all about his grandchildren. Proudly showing off the latest pictures of the grandkids' newest achievement or award. Lee also spent his time serving and supporting his home church, Life Church, serving at one point on their board and through his dedicated tithing. He also enjoyed supporting many, many missionaries, who would often stop in Abilene on their way or from the mission field.

Lee is preceded in death by his father, Cruz Maldonado; his mother, Mary Maldonado; brother, Danny Maldonado; and his daughter, Alexandria Maldonado.

Those left to cherish the many memories and jokes of Lee are, his wife, Annabelle of Abilene, Texas; son, David Lee Maldonado and wife Belle of Wilson, Texas; two daughters, Felicia Maldonado and wife Melissa of Abilene, Texas, Christina Maldonado Abilene, Texas; four grandchildren, Belicia Maldonado, Eliana Maldonado, Abel Lee Maldonado and Nehemiah Maldonado; two sisters, Norma Gonzalez of Altus, Joann Lucio and husband Salvador of Altus, Ok; Two brothers, Joe Maldonado and wife Theresa of Abilene, Texas and Cruz Maldonado of Abilene, Texas; and many tios, tias, nieces, nephews, primos, primas and friends.
