Lanette Culp

Lanette Denise Culp, 71, went to be with the Lord Thursday, August 10, 2023 in Abilene, Texas. A visitation will begin at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, August 16, 2023 in the Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel, 5750 Hwy 277 South. The funeral service will begin at 2:00 PM following the visitation.

Lanette was born February 23, 1952 in San Angelo, Texas to Herbert Virgil Culp, Jr. and Annette Culp. Lanette graduated from Abilene High School and attended McMurry College. She was always a tom boy and enjoyed wearing her boots, sports, Elvis music, and watching the Texas Rangers. Above all Lanette was a Christian and loved her family with all her heart.

She is preceded in death by her parents; and her brother, Herbert Culp III.

Lanette is survived by her siblings, Nan Bogart and husband John of Tuscola; Jan Lloyd and husband Tom of New Jersey; her nieces and nephews, Jennifer Latson and husband Troy, Amy Norris and husband Robert, Angela Hefti and husband Dave, Chad Lloyd, David Bogart and wife Rachel, Les Bogart and wife Kerry, and Valerie Rysdeck and husband Rob; and numerous great nieces, great nephews, cousins, and friends.

Lanette's family would like to thank the awesome staff of Clyde Nursing Center for loving care over the last seven years. Also, thank you to the wonderful staff of Hendrick Hospice for all you have done for Lanette's care.
