Larry Floyd

Larry Gene Floyd, also known as "Bubba", 25, passed away Saturday, October 22, 2016 in Abilene. Visitation will be from 6:00 till 8:00 PM, Tuesday, October 25, 2016 at Elmwood Funeral Home, 5750 Hwy 277 South. A graveside funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at Elmwood Memorial Park.

Larry was born January 23, 1991 in Abilene, TX. He was a graduate of Cooper High School and attended Cisco Junior College. He began working in the oil field before beginning to work for Pest Patrol in Abilene where he was currently employed. He loved to spend his weekends racing on the dirt track at Abilene Speedway and enjoyed watching football, especially the Dallas Cowboys and Texas A&M. Larry loved to spend time with his family and friends and was always ready for a good party and dance.

Larry is survived by his parents, Mark and Bobbie Hill, two brothers, David Garner and wife Elizabeth, and Kenneth Shults; one sister, Tabitha Lopez and husband Adrian; grandmother, Wanda Lovell; his special aunt and uncle, Michael and Pam Huffman; cousins, James Huffman, Jeremy Huffman, Kimberly Dickey, and Kristi Baker; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins; and many close dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Larry Joe Floyd; his brother, Todd Gordon Garner; maternal grandparents, James and Carol Shults; paternal grandparents, Vernon and Margaret Hill; and paternal grandparents, Jimmy Floyd and Wanda Smith.
