Laverne Inman Saverance graduated to heaven on January 25, 2015 at the age of 86. She was born in Abilene Texas November 17, 1928 to Neal and Ella Mae Inman. She attended schools in the Abilene area and finished at Gail Business School. She met and married Ronald L Saverance on January 27, 1945. This union lasted more than 30 years and produced two wonderful kids. Rita Saverance Mantooth and Ronnie Saverance. They survive her. She wore many hats during her lifetime. She cherished most, the role of wife and mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved all people and kept many family members in her home until their passing. She always lived her life by the Golden Rule. She accepted Jesus as her Savior at an early age and served her Lord by serving in all places during her lifetime. The "First Singles" ministry was begun by her and she went on to serve in "Singles Two" as well. She was outreach leader in all areas and served at nursing homes in Kermit Texas. She loved visiting the nursing home residents to love, encourage, and pray with them. She was always color blind and was a stay at home mom until her children were in high school. She worked in the insurance department at Memorial Hospital in Kermit from 1964 to 1976. She always loved her hospital family. In 1976 she went to work for El Paso Natural Gas Company and retired February 1, 1994. After retiring from the gas company, she bought Plaza Park Mobile Estates. Laverne also sold Canus and Watkins products. She was extremely proud of her retirement projects and ran them with Christian love. Laverne was preceded to heaven by her parents, sister Barbara and brother Johnny. She is survived by her brother Jack, her children, Rita Saverance Mantooth, and her husband Edward. Ronnie Saverance and his wife Susan. Grandchildren Michael Mantooth and his wife Alyssa, Kelli Mantooth, Nathan Saverance and his wife Nettie, Amy Endecott and her husband Johnny. Great grand children Nikki Endecott, Olivia Endecott, Brett Endecott, Alexa Endecott, Nathaniel Saverance, Kaitlynn Saverance, Emily Saverance, Phoenix Mantooth, Raven Mantooth, Fisher Mantooth, Olivia Mantooth, Sophia Mantooth and Everly Mantooth. Laverne "Aunt Sissy" always had a special place in her heart for her niece Kari and husband Rick and their family: James, Allison and Wes, Bryce and Taylor, Holly and Nathan, Natilly, Emily and Ivy. Laverne was a member of the First Baptist Church in Kermit Texas. Burial services will be at 2:00 January 29, 2015 in the Elmwood Memorial Gardens Abilene Texas. Celebration of life memorial will be held at the First Baptist Church in Kermit Texas on January 31, 2015 at 1:00.
