L.B. Tedford

L.B. Tedford, 77, of Abilene passed away Monday, February 1, 2016 at Abilene.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, February 4, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel.

L.B. was born on December 28, 1938 to the late Frances E. Tedford and Lucy Weathersby Tedford. He married Doris Jean Gerhart on October 8, 1960 and had 55 wonderful years of marriage. L.B. worked for the city of Abilene as a supervisor and retired after 30 plus years of employment. He enjoyed gardening and was a loyal Dallas Cowboy and Texas Rangers fan. L.B. loved to laugh, joke and listen to country music, especially the older music. He was a Baptist and will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

L.B. is survived by his loving wife, Doris; children, Rodney Tedford and wife Olivia of Abilene, Katherine Helms and husband Clay of Abilene, Karen Feemster of Abilene; grandchildren, Michael Tedford,Anessa, Brittany Tedford, Colin Helms, Connor Helms, Jayton Elliott, Stephen Lindberg, Lane Feemster, Lee Feemster; siblings, Katie Bryson, Leon, Eugene, Frances, Joe Lind, Betty Lou, Reta, Bill, John, Etta and Irene.

Service
