Leda Buckner

Leda Pearl Rister Buckner, 64, passed away Tuesday, April 22, 2014 in Abilene. Visitation for family and friends will be from 6:00 till 7:00 PM, Thursday, April 24, 2014 at Elmwood Funeral Home, 5750 Hwy 277 South. Her funeral service will be 10:00 AM, Friday, April 25, 2014 at North Park Baptist Church, 1525 Anson Avenue in Abilene. Interment will follow the service in Midway Cemetery in Hodges, TX.

Leda was born June 23, 1949 in Abilene to Bill and Pearl Adams Rister. She was a dedicated member of North Park Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who had a hilarious sense of humor and loved having a good time with her family. She enjoyed making flower arrangements and watching her show, Days of our Lives. Leda will be missed by her family and friends who she loved very much.

Leda is survived by her husband, David three children, William Simmons, Kimberli Zamora and husband Junior, Schane Simmons and wife Mindy two stepsons Chris Buckner, Nathan Buckner grandchildren, Alexis Ainsworth, Matthew Zamora, Alizabeth Zamora, Sarah Brown, Maritza Buckner, Michelle Buckner, Christopher Buckner brothers, Bill Rister and wife Marla, Calvin Rister and wife Sheila one niece, Shannon Heuermann one nephew, Justin Rister and wife Jessica, one great niece, Raelee Rister and numerous aunts and uncles.

Leda was preceded in death by her parents.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations are suggested in Ledas honor to North Park Baptist Church, 1525 Anson Ave, Abilene, TX 79601
